About
Welcome to my blog !
My name is Hervé Marcy, I was born in 1984 and am a technical consultant in the Enterprise Business division (Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking – ESSN) of Hewlett-Packard in Böblingen (Germany). My particular focus is Linux, HP-UX and Java applications. This blog represents my opinion only and not HP’s !
I graduated as Diplom-Informatiker (German degree) and a Maitrise (French degree) from the French- German institute of applied sciences and economy (ISFATES) in October 2007.
I also successfully passed the LPIC-1 (first level of certification) of the Linux Professional Institute in May 2007 as well as the Citrix certification for XenServer Entrerprise v4 in June of 2008.
In this blog, I want to write about things that interest me such as technology and computer science, Linux, OpenSolaris, open-source and free software, business, politics, the evolution of the European Union, the relationship between France and Germany (both countries I know pretty well), and so on…
If you want a personal contact with me, send me an e-mail to herve.marcy at gmail.com.
