My name is Hervé Marcy, I am 23 years old and I graduated as Diplom-Informatiker (German degree) and a Maitrise (French degree) from the French- German institute of applied sciences and economy (ISFATES)  in October 2007.
I am part of a graduate program at Hewlett-Packard in the Technology Solution Group of HP in Böblingen (Germany) in order to become a technical consultant. My particular focus is on Linux servers. However, this contents represents only my opinion and not HP’s.

I successfully passed the LPIC-1 (first level of certification) of the Linux Professional Institute in May 2007.

In this blog, I want to write about things that interest me such as technology and computer science, Linux, OpenSolaris, open-source and free software, business, politics, the evolution of the European Union, the relationship between France and Germany (both countries I know pretty well), and so on…
